After the hockey game, Genny, Clarice and I went to downtown Vancouver to buy some Olympic memorabilia. Then, after a nice dinner on Robson Street we walked over to see the Olympic Flame.
Although these photos don't really show it, the plaza in which the flame is burning is completely inaccessible behind a really ugly chain link fence. There's a growing movement to "free the flame" by allowing spectators to get closer and to eliminate the ugly fence. We'll see what happens.
In the meantime, here's my short tribute to the 2010 Winter Olympics.
